Welcome to The New AGE (Acoustic Grand Ensembles), the most comprehensive collection of alternative ensembles ever recorded.The New AGE series was produced by Academy Award, TEC and G.A.N.G Award Winning Composer, Troels Folmann and Emmy nominated composer and orchestrator, Colin O\'Malley.

The New Update to AGE Volume 1 contains a re-designed UI with everything available at your fingertips. This includes the ability to Stack, Reverse and Randomize Articulations. As well as control the Attack, Release, and Speed of the samples and more with advanced controls like a Sequencer controlling Steps, Hits, Rate, and Pattern. Moving to our brand new X/Y Effects system and Volume and Filter modulation, all available in one package.

AGE Vol. 1 contains five different Grand Ensembles, including a Concert Grand Piano Ensemble, Acoustic Guitar Ensemble, Xylophone Ensemble, Glockenspiel Ensemble and a Tubular Bells Ensemble. All containing multiple microphone positions. Recorded in the same signature hall as our CAGE (Custom Aleatoric Effects), Libraries.

All the Grand Ensembles were recorded in several different ways depending on the nature of the instrument. The Grand Piano Ensemble contains articulations such as Sustains, Staccato and Tremolo, but we also recorded the ensemble with Plucked Sustains, Fast Glissandi, Cluster Variations and Rhythmic/Percussive FX.

The Acoustic Guitar Ensemble contains both Sustains, Staccato, Bartok, Harmonics and Tremolo, but also a variety of different Rhythmic Patterns and Group Chords, which are all of course Host Tempo synced.

Other Grand Ensembles such as Xylophone, Glockenspiel and Tubular Bells each have their own deep-sampled set of articulations custom designed for the nature of the instrument.

AGE Vol. 1 also contains 50 different custom synths that were all designed with the source content. The entire AGE library contains over 28GB (compressed from +60GB) of data and over 23,000 samples.

The incredible depth of the AGE articulations is supported by our custom Engine, which allows you to easily manipulate and process the instruments..

Something magical happens when you take several Concert Grand Pianos, put them in a lush hall and surround them with top end microphones. It is no longer a piano, but something more than a piano. A tiny Glockenspiel or Xylophone becomes so much more when they are played in larger ensembles.

Hyper Flexible Control
The New AGE has a completely re-vamped user interface which brings it in line with our recent new releases. The New UI features a wealth of front facing effects and options. The Main UI controls include a footer for quick access to key features. These include Attack, Release Tails, Speed, Response, Stereo Spread and Master Filter controls allowing you to quickly alter the sound of the instrument. Each instrument can also quickly be flipped on its head by using the available Reverse, Chaos and Stack options.

The new UI gives you easy and intuitive access to the Articulation Browser, Sequencer, Mixer and various Effects and Modulation. The X/Y Pads available in the Effects tab offer a brand new way to control a range of inbuilt effect processes. With Expression, Tuning, Gate Sequencing and a Filter LFO all available in the modulation tab.

Superior Mixing
The New AGE Vol. 1 contains up to 12 different microphone perspectives. Each divided into 5 Ensemble perspectives (Mix, Close, Decca, Far, Wide) and 3-7 Spot perspectives (spot 1-7). The flexibility of microphone positions allows you to dial in the ideal sound that\'s perfect for your production. In addition AGE also comes with a wealth of convolution presets, so you can add otherworldly flavors to your sound.

Chaos FX Engine
The AGE Chaos Engine is as extreme as ever. With our brand new X/Y Effects you are able to not only process the instrument from a selection of Master Chaos Effects, but also in realtime manipulate up to 4 fully assignable X/Y Pad Effects. This enables you to manipulate the processing of sound in a whole new way opening up a wealth of possibilities.

With both Effects Engines you can make hundreds of parameters randomize with a single click. So both the sample content and the assigned Effects are randomized in one glorious cocktail. From a little cosmetic change to the birth of a completely new universe of sounds - it is all available and all within reach.

50 Custom Synths
AGE contains a custom designed set of 50 multi-sampled synthetic articulations. The synthesized sounds are all derived from AGE source content and designed to work well with all the different ensembles. Each ensemble has 10 custom synth articulations designed to augment the ensemble with each one hand curated by Troels Folmann & Colin O\'Malley.
